The University of Edinburgh’s latest teaching and innovation HUB, the USHER Institute is a new three story research and teaching HUB that’s situated centrally in the Edinburgh Bio-quarter district. This modern institute will boast a community of partners from private, public and third party sectors including healthcare providers. The main HUB will create a innovative home for all these sectors and will allow flexible event space and learning studios suitable for teaching or conferencing.
Avtek were responsible for the design, supply and installation of Wicona 60 curtain walling with bespoke cappings, Wicline 75 EVO windows, Wicline 90SG Windows, Wicstyle 75 EVO doors, complimented with high performance solar control glazing supplied by Star Group and bespoke specialist mesh screening from Xmet.
