Riverside Primary School is Scotland’s first accredited PASSIVHAUS School and despite already winning the Learning Places Scotland Award for ‘Innovation in Delivering a Sustainable Learning Space’ the school continues to feature in construction honours.

Completed in summer 2023 the project was delivered by Robertsons with support from Hub East Central Scotland for Perth & Kinross Council and designed by Architype. Riverside Primary is one of the first Passivhaus primary schools in the UK and our Metal Technology Ltd products present very well on this ground breaking delivery.

The new primary school is designed to accommodate 500 pupils, 80 nursery pupils and 16 additional support needs pupils. It has replaced North Muirton and Balhousie primary schools, creating a beautiful and inclusive learning environment.
